Rapper Offset Hospitalized After Shooting in Florida, Condition Stable

American rapper Offset has been hospitalized after being shot in Hollywood, Florida, authorities and his representatives confirmed.

According to his spokesperson, the artist is currently in stable condition and receiving medical care. “We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored,” the statement said.

The incident occurred on Monday evening outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The Seminole Police Department reported that the shooting took place shortly after 7 p.m. in the valet area of the venue.

Police confirmed that two individuals have been detained in connection with the incident, and an investigation is ongoing. Authorities added that the area has been secured and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, is a prominent figure in the music industry and a member of the hip-hop group Migos. He was previously married to Cardi B, with whom he shares two children.

The incident comes years after the tragic loss of fellow Migos member Takeoff, who was fatally shot in 2022.

Further details about the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting have not yet been released as authorities continue their investigation.
