Pakistan Successfully Test-Fires Indigenously Developed Fateh-II Missile System

Pakistan Conducts Successful Training Launch of Fateh-II Missile System

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday successfully carried out a training launch of the indigenously developed Fateh-II Missile System, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The missile system is equipped with advanced avionics and modern navigational technologies designed to enhance accuracy and survivability in operational conditions.

According to ISPR, the training launch was conducted by the Army Rocket Force Command with the objective of troop training, validation of technical parameters, and evaluation of various sub-systems incorporated into the missile system.

Senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Rocket Force Command, Pakistan Army, as well as scientists and engineers from strategic organisations witnessed the launch.

The military’s media wing stated that the successful test fire was commended at all levels, highlighting the performance of the indigenously developed Fateh missile series.

Top civilian and military leadership, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, appreciated the technical expertise and dedication involved in the successful execution of the test.

The development comes shortly after the Pakistan Navy conducted a successful live firing of the Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile, further demonstrating Pakistan’s growing focus on strengthening indigenous defence capabilities.

ISPR noted that the naval exercise highlighted the country’s ability to detect, target, and neutralise maritime threats with precision, enhancing multi-domain operational readiness of the armed forces.

Officials said these developments reflect Pakistan’s continued investment in modernising its defence systems and strengthening its conventional strike capabilities.
