Katy Perry’s ‘Teenage Dream’ costar Josh Kloss alleges “degrading” incident at 2012 party
Katy Perry is facing renewed public discussion after her “Teenage Dream” music video costar Josh Kloss claimed he experienced a “degrading” incident involving the singer at a 2012 party.
In an interview with Page Six, Kloss, 45, said he felt “silent trauma” following what he described as an incident where Perry allegedly exposed him in front of others at a social gathering. Kloss appeared in Perry’s 2010 “Teenage Dream” music video as her on-screen love interest.
According to Kloss, he was invited to a birthday party in 2012 where he unexpectedly encountered the singer again. He alleged that during the event, Perry pulled down his pants in front of other guests, leaving him feeling embarrassed and shocked.

Kloss said the encounter left him feeling “devalued and degraded,” despite his earlier positive working relationship with Perry during the music video production. He also claimed that he initially expected an apology that never came.
Kloss first made similar allegations public in 2019 via social media, where he said he faced backlash from some fans who dismissed his account.
In comments to The Guardian in 2020, Perry did not directly address Kloss’s allegations but stated that she avoids responding to all public claims made about her, noting that doing so would be “distracting.”
Kloss said in his recent interview that he has attempted to move past the experience but still finds it difficult when his account is questioned publicly.

Us Weekly has reached out to Katy Perry’s representatives for comment regarding the latest claims.
The renewed attention comes as Perry has also recently faced unrelated allegations from another public figure, which her representatives have strongly denied. Authorities in Australia have reportedly confirmed that at least one separate historical complaint involving the singer is under investigation.
At this time, Perry has not made any direct public statement regarding Kloss’s recent interview.
