Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar Announce Divorce, Actress Seeks Privacy Amid Online Speculation

Indian actor Mouni Roy and her husband Suraj Nambiar have announced their separation, confirming that they have decided to part ways after several years of marriage.

The couple issued a joint statement on Thursday, requesting privacy as they begin the process of handling personal matters amicably.

“We would like to state that we have decided to part ways and are taking necessary time to address matters privately and amicably,” the statement read. The pair also noted that they intend to maintain mutual respect and friendship moving forward.

Following the announcement, Mouni Roy limited her social media interactions by turning off comments on her recent posts in an attempt to avoid online trolling and unwanted attention.

Despite this, discussions continued across social media platforms, with users shifting to older posts to leave comments and speculate about the separation.

Some online users also directed unfounded accusations toward actor Disha Patani, claiming she was involved in the couple’s personal matters. However, there is no verified information supporting such claims.

Mouni Roy and Disha Patani have shared a long-standing friendship, frequently appearing together at events, vacations, and social gatherings, often sharing photos on social media.

The couple’s separation comes after growing speculation when fans noticed that Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar had unfollowed each other on Instagram, fueling rumours about trouble in their relationship.

Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar were married in 2022, celebrating their union with both a traditional Malayali ceremony and a Bengali wedding held in Goa.

The actress has not made any further public statements beyond the official announcement, and has requested space during this period.
