MQM-P MNA’s Daughter Dies After Being Hit by Stray Bullet in Karachi

A 19-year-old medical student, daughter of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Iqbal Mehsud Khan, was killed after being struck by a stray bullet in Gulshan-i-Iqbal.
According to Gulshan-i-Iqbal SHO Mohammad Saud, the incident occurred on Saturday night at around 10pm when the young woman was standing on the terrace of her home. A bullet fired from an unknown direction hit her, causing critical injuries.
She was immediately rushed to a private hospital in the area but succumbed to her injuries on Sunday afternoon.
Police said the family has completed legal formalities but has so far shown reluctance to register a First Information Report (FIR) of the incident.
National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic death and extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
The incident has once again highlighted the growing issue of stray bullet injuries in Karachi, especially during evening hours.
