Islamabad, April 7, 2026 – Pakistan has strongly condemned Iran’s recent missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia’s energy facilities, calling the strikes a “dangerous escalation” that threatens regional peace and stability.
In an official statement issued by the Foreign Office (FO) on Tuesday, Pakistan expressed its deep concern over the attacks and mourned the loss of life. The FO said Pakistan “unequivocally condemns the missile and drone attacks carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran last night against energy facilities in the Eastern Region of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
The statement highlighted the significant damage inflicted on critical infrastructure and extended condolences to the families of victims, while affirming Pakistan’s solidarity with the government and people of Saudi Arabia during this challenging time.
“The government of Pakistan considers these attacks a serious violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and a dangerous escalation that undermines regional peace and stability,” the statement added.
Pakistan reiterated its commitment to supporting the security of the Kingdom, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the volatile Middle East region.
Analysts note that the strikes come amid rising tensions in the Gulf following the ongoing conflict between Iran and the U.S.-allied nations, including Saudi Arabia. The attacks, targeting critical energy infrastructure, have the potential to disrupt global oil supplies and heighten geopolitical risks in the region.
The FO concluded its statement by reaffirming Pakistan’s “unwavering support for the Kingdom’s security” and called for restraint and dialogue to prevent further escalation.
“Pakistan stands firm in supporting regional stability and condemns all actions that threaten peace and the safety of civilians,” the statement read.
The international community is closely monitoring the situation, as further escalation could have far-reaching implications for energy markets and diplomatic relations across the Middle East.
