Epstein files reveal links to magicians David Blaine and David Copperfield

Newly reviewed Justice Department files related to Jeffrey Epstein have drawn attention to the presence of well-known magicians David Blaine and David Copperfield in his social circle. The documents, examined in a recent investigation, outline emails, photos, and interview records that show repeated interactions between Epstein and both performers over several years.

According to the files, David Blaine exchanged numerous messages and phone calls with Epstein between 2012 and 2016. The correspondence suggests the two maintained a social relationship, with Epstein at times inviting Blaine to private gatherings attended by influential figures from politics, business, and entertainment. The records also indicate Blaine was occasionally present at Epstein-hosted events and was involved in informal visits to Epstein’s New York residence.

The files further include references to a 2013 video project involving Blaine that was filmed at Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse. Emails from Epstein’s assistant suggest Blaine planned to film segments for a television special inside the property, with Epstein responding to scheduling requests at the time.

Investigators also noted FBI interview summaries in which individuals claimed they had met Epstein through Blaine or met Blaine through Epstein during social gatherings in New York. However, neither Blaine nor Copperfield has been accused of any criminal wrongdoing in connection with Epstein, and representatives for both have previously denied any misconduct.

David Copperfield also appears multiple times in the documents, including photographs and references linked to Epstein’s social events and properties. Some images reportedly show Copperfield with individuals on Epstein-related properties, while law enforcement memos reference past investigations that noted social connections between the two men.

The FBI records reviewed in the files suggest that investigators at one point explored whether Epstein’s network overlapped with other high-profile figures, including Copperfield, but no charges were ever filed against him in relation to Epstein.

Authorities have not suggested that either magician was involved in Epstein’s criminal activity. The documents instead highlight the extent of Epstein’s social access to celebrities, politicians, and business leaders during the years following his 2008 conviction.

The revelations are part of a broader review of the “Epstein files,” which continue to shed light on the financier’s relationships with influential individuals across multiple industries.
