Kirsten Storms’ ex Brandon Barash granted restraining order amid mental health concerns
General Hospital star Kirsten Storms’ ex-husband Brandon Barash has been granted an emergency restraining order amid concerns regarding her mental health and their 12-year-old daughter, according to court documents cited by TMZ.
Barash, 46, reportedly filed the request claiming he had observed what he described as increasingly concerning behavior from Storms, 42, and feared for their child’s well-being. The order was approved following his emergency petition.
Barash stated in his filing that concerns escalated after both parties relocated to Tennessee following their divorce in 2016. He also referenced financial and housing instability, including a prior eviction lawsuit involving Storms and a loan he claims he provided for vehicle-related expenses.
In the court documents, Barash further alleged that Storms had experienced episodes of distress, including claims of “delusions and hallucinations,” and on one occasion expressed that she did not feel able to care for their child during her scheduled parenting time. He also claimed she was taken to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation with assistance from his current wife.
Barash additionally alleged that a friend of Storms expressed concerns about possible substance misuse and described instances of erratic behavior. These claims have not been independently verified.
The court filing requests that Storms undergo a mental health evaluation. At present, she is permitted supervised visitation with the couple’s daughter. A judge is expected to review the restraining order in an upcoming hearing.
