Katie Miller Denies Claims Stephen Miller Used Her as ‘Human Shield’ During WHCD Incident

Katie Miller Defends Stephen Miller Amid Viral Claims After WHCD Incident

WASHINGTON: Katie Miller has strongly denied social media claims alleging that her husband, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, used her as a “human shield” during a security incident linked to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner weekend.

Speaking on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle on Monday, Katie Miller, who is pregnant with the couple’s fourth child, rejected the online narrative and said the situation was being misrepresented.

“They could not give Stephen Miller a good news cycle if they tried,” she said, adding that she believed she was being unfairly targeted in online discussions.

Katie Miller said that during the evacuation, her husband assisted her after shots were reportedly fired outside the venue area, and insisted that his actions were protective rather than harmful.

“He was behind me and protecting not only me, but our baby,” she said.

The couple attended the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner on Saturday, April 25. Following reports of gunfire outside the venue, attendees were seen evacuating the Washington Hilton hotel, where the event was held.

Footage circulating online showed Stephen Miller helping his wife as the situation unfolded, which sparked widespread debate and speculation on social media.

Katie Miller also addressed viral images suggesting unusual physical contact during the evacuation, saying the moment was being misinterpreted due to the urgency and chaos of the situation.

She added that security personnel had directed movement during the evacuation and emphasized that decisions were made in response to perceived threats at the time.

Authorities arrested a suspect identified as Cole Tomas Allen, who was later charged in connection with the incident. According to prosecutors, the suspect was allegedly armed with multiple weapons, including a shotgun, a handgun, and knives. Legal proceedings are ongoing, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Katie Miller concluded her remarks by saying that the situation had been politicized online, turning a security incident into a misleading narrative involving her family.
