Pakistan Army Condemns Attacks on Saudi Arabia as “Unnecessary Escalation”

The Pakistan Army’s top brass on Tuesday condemned recent attacks on Saudi Arabia’s energy and petrochemical infrastructure, describing them as “an unnecessary escalation” that could jeopardize ongoing diplomatic efforts in the Middle East. The statement was issued following the 274th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) presided over by Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir at GHQ, Rawalpindi.

The conference reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to principled diplomacy and constructive engagement, highlighting the country’s role as a responsible regional stakeholder and security stabiliser. The forum appreciated the government’s efforts to mediate the ongoing US-Israeli war on Iran and urged restraint and dialogue to resolve the conflict peacefully.

In addition to regional developments, the CCC reviewed Pakistan’s internal and external security environment, vowing to relentlessly pursue terrorist proxies operating from Afghan soil and counter external threats. The forum also expressed concern over human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and condemned persistent disinformation and false narratives attributed to India.

CDF Munir commended the armed forces for their professionalism, operational excellence, and intelligence-driven counter-terrorism operations. He directed commanders to maintain operational readiness, adaptability, and the highest standards of professionalism to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

At the outset of the meeting, the forum offered Fateha for martyrs of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians, reaffirming that their sacrifices remain the bedrock of Pakistan’s national security.
